Should I get him a Fathers day gift?

So I had my baby April 13th 2015 and my husband didn't get me anything for Mother's Day. We went out to eat with my mom but my mom paid for it and he was complaining that we went to ihop because he just had a breakfast themed potluck at work. My question is should I get him a Father's Day gift? He didn't even get me a card. BUT here's the thing, I told him how I was upset that he didn't get me like a card or anything for Mother's Day (I just didn't feel appreciated) and so he ordered me a pottery barn rocking chair for $900 to make up for it! So I'm torn. I think I'll definitely get him a card but idk if I should do more because of how rude he was on Mother's Day. Please comment too!

Do you really want a marriage like that? He was rude to you, so you're going to be rude to him and only get him a card? I'm not trying to make you feel bad but to me that sounds like a high school romance.

He got you a $900 rocking chair to make up for it. He may have just been having a bad day and yeah, it sucks but it's over and you move on.

Get him a little something or even make him a gift. He'll realize that mother's/father's day is all about sentiment and will likely not ever let you down like that again.

The way I see it, if you do something sweet for him (simple, like a dad shirt or something with baby's footprints) then he'll see how special it is and understand a little better why it meant so much to you. That's how. It is with my hubby and we've been married 11 years. :/

It doesn't matter whether he did or didn't get you  a gift, I believe you as his partner and mother his of his beautiful child should give him a gift maybe he was still shocked to have a baby in the house :)

Card for sure maybe just something amall like a bag of his favorite candy or bake him some cookies or his fave meal. Nothing super special or pricey.

Last year was my husbands first Father's Day....for our dogs. We don't have kids yet. But I still got him a card and a small gift. He totally deserves it.

Hey him a card for sure and then get him a small gift. Maybe spend what you would have expected him to spend on you. Set the tone for what you want in the future.
