What are the beginning signs of labor?

Okay I’m a FTM so I have no idea what I’m looking for when it comes to going into labor. Tonight I am feeling some pressure and tightening. It almost feels like cramping but not quite that intense. I’m also experiencing some sharp pains that go all the way down my crotch and my lower back is feeling achy too. Lastly I sometimes feel like I have to pee, even if I just peed and nothing really comes out. Does any of this mean anything ? I haven’t even lost my mucus plug or anything yet.

Sounds like your progressing! With my first these were all symptoms labor was coming I had these symptoms about a week before I actually went into labor with my daughter for a whole day consistently I had Braxton Hicks that slowly got a little more uncomfortable and more into my back at times I would even have small runs of real contractions (an hour or two then they’d stop) I was so tired I ended up going to sleep super early and woke up at 11pm with REAL contractions, they got more intense and more consistent, by 2am I knew it was time to go I got to the hospital was admitted as I was dilated to a 5 and had her at 2:22pm that afternoon.  I am currently 37. 5 weeks and have been having these symptoms for a few days I can feel the changes in my body and I know labor coming soon! Good luck ladies our sweet babes will be here soon! 💕

I’m a FTM also and had my little boy Tuesday 😊 I was having consistent contractions for hours that would NOT go away. I tried to drink water, lay down, take a bath and nothing worked. I called my doc and she said to start timing them and when they were 4 mins apart and I couldn’t talk through them to come in!
