Please help!

Sorry for the gross picture, but my tongue has had this weird color to it, though I don't know why. Could this just be a sign of dehydration and/or bad diet? Please help me out and please don't be mean or belittling (also please ignore the weird ridges around my tongue, I'm quite sure they're just from the shape of my teeth lol)
