Why havent I yet?

Hi Lovlies my names Holly I'm 18 and my partner is almost 20. We have been trying to concieve for a year and a half now but nothing has happened yet. I went to the doctors at 1 year and they told me to wait till 2 years of trying. It's getting to the point where I get myself so upset when my period comes. I know it may sound silly wanting a baby at 18 but I have a full time job as a healthcare Assistant and can provide for a baby. I have always wanted a baby, maternal instincts and all. Just feel alone even though I know I'm not.

Honestly I felt the same way. I knew I wanted to be a mother above all things. I had my first when I was 22. Me and his father were together for 4 years and I thought everything was perfect. Sadly for me he turned out to be a douche. I ended up 12 hours away from any family, lost all my friends, with a 4 month old, 5 dogs, and a house. He cheated on me with one of our close friends (whom I still have to see to this day) I had to search very deep for what little confidence I had left to dig myself out of this hole. All I have to say is please don't rush. I know the feelings you have. Enjoy the time you have with just you and your partner. Because when baby comes no matter how happy and blessed the both of you feel. It makes the little things much harder. I can't tell you how much I miss going to the store alone or watching TV all day long because I'm feeling like I need a lazy day. Or when I'm sick... how desperately I just want to rest. I just hope that you keep in mind just how much changes. I honestly wish I would have waited and experienced life before my kids a little longer. I'm not at all complaining I love them more then the stars in the sky. I wish someone would have prepared me better for what was to come. This is one of the biggest commitment of life.

Do you use ovulation test strips?? You have to be very accurate that your doing it at the right time. Are your habits affecting fertility? Do you smoke, drink, eat poorly? Have you started taking baby aspirin every day?? 81mg baby aspirin a day increases blood flow to your uterus, so do that if you don't already!!! Make sure your taking your prenatals & folic acid daily!!! Only have sex every other day, not every day because that will lower the sperm!! Try having sex every other day for the whole month as soon as your period is over. But make sure to do ovulation tests and the second you have a positive, have sex!! There are so many things you can do to improve your chances, these are just a few!! I'm almost 9 weeks, it took me a long time and I had surgery before I could try. It's possible if you're doing the right things. And switch to a different OB that will run some tests on you!!

Hey ladies, it sounds like we have a lot in common on this thread. We've been TTC for #1 for almost 4 years. I haven't had any testing. My dh had an SA in 2012 that showed normal count, normal motility, but very poor morphology. He just did a repeat SA last Monday and we haven't gotten those results back yet. It's so hard trying to make sense of it. Praying for all of you ladies. May God bless us with the desires of our hearts!

Ive been ttc #1 for 2 years aswell.. docs said everything is fine with both of us yet we still cant conceive. 
It is sad but try not to put so much thought to it. Keep trying and trying ! 
Im 22 and my SO is 25.

Don't give up. We're on our 19th cycle for baby number one! I'm 21 and he's 29. I suggest you go to docs to have a thyroid test done, it's not baby related so should be easy to convince them. Just say you've been really tired. I've recently been diagnosed with under active thyroid, whilst my levels are out of sorts it is barely possible to conceive and if I do the chances of miscarriage are extremely high! Might solve your problems, and if not its one less thing to worry about. Baby dust to you xxx
