Swimming with af!

Just wondering... I am supposed to be taking a friends kids swimming tomorrow... But af showed up last night! Just wondering if any of you have been swimming and is it ok to go if wearing a tampon. So paranoid that I will leak!! Any advice greatly recieved :)
