preparing for natural birth?

I was wondering what all you ladies are doing to prepare for a natural birth? i have almost 5 weeks left so i thinl its a good tine to start preparing my body. I had a natural birth with my first but I did not do anything to prepare for it.

The more active you are the better off you’ll be! I’ve been using my prenatal yoga dvd! Had a natural birth with my daughter simply because we didn’t have time for any medicine! I hope this little guy comes as quickly

We took some online Lamaze classes together and I’ve been practicing my breathing and relaxation techniques. 🙂

We took a natural birthing class. I’ve had one natural birth before but it wasn’t by choice, and it was with my ex husband. He wasn’t a very good birthing partner. I think you have to consider what you think will make you feel good and focused. I know that I don’t like it when people baby me, and I don’t want to be fawned over while I’m in labor. I want to be left alone to do what my body needs to do. Someone else might really enjoy the extra attention, or a different person might want people to try and distract her with jokes and games or music. Communicate with your partner how you think you want to be interacted with while you’re laboring (even though it might change in the moment!). One thing I would recommend is having a “safe word” that your partner knows. Something that means “I really can’t take this pain anymore and I want to talk about management options”. You might yell out a hundred times that you want an epidural, but you might not actually mean it. Good luck mama! You can do it!
