So, I was on Instagram and this person said ddlg glorifies pedophilia but age regress doesn't. what's the difference between the two? 
I have a lot to say but I feel so exhausted over thinking this to explain everything that was said.

1- DDLG does not glorify pedophelia. DDLG is always always ALWAYS between 2 adults. A real daddy does not in any way fantasize about 
2- DDLG is, first and foremost, a branch of BDSM. It is a power dynamic relationship. It can - but doesn’t always - include age play and little space, which is where the little allows themself to behave in a childlike way or take on childish mannerisms. 
Age regression is a coping mechanism for survivors of childhood trauma. Essentially, they take on childish mannerisms or behave like a child to “reclaim” the innocence they lost. It’s controversial on whether it’s a healthy coping mechanism or if it does more harm to the survivor.

ah... yeah, stuff with the BDSM little is often times confused and even shamed. no, a DD/bg relationship does not support paedophilia. actually involving a minor in ANY BDSM scenes/play is considered extremely wrong, and not tolerated by the community at all. a daddy/mommy Dom takes control and responsibility of their innocent, dependant babygirl/babyboy. they are a "caregiver" and really these relationships are rarely actually sexual to begin with. it really just depends on the involved parties. I know I'm a little young (almost 19) but I have been interested in this lifestyle for years, had a mentor, and what not else. nothing sexually active, of course, seeing as I was a minor for a lot of it, but I was given teachings on it all.

Age regression is a sfw non-kink coping mechanism, and ddlg is a subset of bdsm. 
Age regression can occur voluntarily or involuntarily for many reasons. It’s most common in victims of child abuse, and is pretty common in minors these days I’ve seen. Age regressors can have a caregiver, (daddy/mommy) to help them regress, but there is no power exchange, rules, punishments, or sexual anything, so it is still non-kink. 
A lot of minors use age regression as an excuse to participate in ddlg while they’re underage, and a lot of kinksters age regress non-sexually outside of bdsm. That’s where the confusion comes in I think.
