Period return while breastfeeding?

Question

I’m 10 PP, breastfeeding my daughter on demand and I think my period might be coming back. 
I’ve been moody, eating like crazy, slight back pain and my right ovary has been a little achey. I have endo and have had multiple cysts so I’m familiar with the pain. 
When did you period return while breastfeeding? I’m so nervous, i haven’t had a natural period (off of hormonal birth control) in YEARS. 
Will it be heavier?

I’m currently 10 weeks pp and just got my period back (this is our first). I’m sleeping through the night but still pumping, just not as often. I had Mirena put in as my birth control around week 7. Mirena was the birth control before we started trying too, but i didn’t get a period with it then. Hoping my body goes back to that...crazy part is my period came back almost a year to the day i had my last one before we got pregnant! Maybe time for round two :)

Just got mine! 6 months pp, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. I had cramps the night before but nothing like before I got pregnant. I ALWAYS had to take the first day of my cycle off from whatever I was doing. This time, wasn’t so bad.

I’m 9 weeks. Both babies it returned by 6 weeks. It sucks. Mine are extra heavy. Like I want to go back to disposable underwear and huge pads 😂

I pumped milk for the first few months and breastfed exclusively and about a year after giving birth to my son my period started. Apparently this happens to women in my family who exclusively breast feed also I think genetics play a role. But I started to decrease the amount of milk I was producting and I think that's why my cycle started. I don't think the cramps were more painful but I definitely feel like I noticed some more and was more aware of when I was menstrating.

I got mine 6 months pp and it was the period from Hell. My sister got hers back 6 weeks pp (both of us breastfeeding) and she said hers was normal, if not lighter than normal. It’s probably a mixed bag and won’t know until you get it.  Good luck! ❤️
