How did you announce your pregnancy to family???

All of our family is far away from us so we just called them all and told them! My dad was a little special because his birthday was the same week we found out so I sent him this picture!

We were 6.5wks after our first ultrasound (I had been having some cramping) and both of our parents happened to be in town at the same time so it was meant to be. It was around easter and the back said “We’re Egg-specting” and then the front had “December 2017”. I found it on etsy!! My dad is a former obgyn so I felt comfortable telling even though things could happen. Everyone else we announced to and on social media at 15weeks!

On the phone 😂. “Hey I know its Christmas Eve and I’m supposed to be driving 8 hours today to see you all but I’m too sick because I’m pregnant 🤷🏼‍♀️” 
It’s a little bit different for us anyway since my family knew we were doing fertility treatments. We wouldn’t have been able to truly surprise them anyway. I still have not announced to extended family.

I announced it at 7 weeks to my parents and siblings and told them to keep it a secret :p we were all camping and around the fire I gave my sister a little box with a baby sock and a card inside that said “you’re going to be an aunt in May” the look on her face was priceless and it didn’t take long for my brothers to figure out she was holding a baby sock :)

We surprised my MIL and FIL with onesies for their birthdays (both February birthdays so that was convenient) and we gave my parents coffee mugs that said Grandma and Grandpa on them!
