Ovulation and high bbt ...maybe faint line on HCG(on provera )

I went to my OBGYN and fertility specialist on June first he put me on provera and advised me to take clomid when I started my 5th day of my period I had only taken 2 of my provera pills my temperature had spiked from my normal every morning 98 to 98.6 and I got three positive ovulation test the next day my temperature was 99 and a positive ovulation test my temperature has now dropped to my normal 98 of a morning I took a pregnancy test yesterday and there is a faint line when I had called my doctor to ask her if I should stop taking provera since I was ovulating and start trying she said no that would make me go through withdrawals and there was a possibility that it was the provera that was making the ovulation tests show positive and spiked a temperature but if thats true would i still not be spiking a temperature?
