Tubal ligation months after c-section?

Has anyone decided months after having their baby via c-section that they want to have their tubes tied? I had an emergency c-section so I wasn’t really thinking about it then. My husband and I have given it a lot of thought especially after my cervix was too small to get the non-hormonal iud. I’ve had problems with every birth control pill I’ve tried so I’m over taking anything hormonal. We are sure we don’t want any more children than our son. I’m wondering the amount of down time I should expect. My doctor said two days. He also said he makes 2 incisions to do the procedure. I know a couple women who had it done and seemed like they were in a lot of pain. I still breastfeed so I’m worried about being in too much pain to take care of my baby. My doctor was like well you did have a c-section so I know it can’t be worse but it’s only been 6 months so I’m worried about having another incision around that area. I also work part time so I want to make sure I have enough days off. I’m hoping I’m making the right decision and our son won’t be too lonely. I just think 2 children would be too much for us.
