Dryness and pain

Not sure where I am suppose to post this but I need some advice.. Never had this problem before .. The last few times I been intimate with my husband I have been dry and it causes pain, I don't understand because I'm not stressed and i believe me I want him passionately but he has noticed to and he asked me if I really want .. Please someone tell me why..
