Diapers that analyze baby pee???

Question

So - as you can probably tell - I am really into high-tech baby stuff. And I just found an article for these...they are not even available yet.

The diaper has this scan thing and it analyzes if your baby has enough hydration and stuff.

Sounds like they will be a bit more expensive than regular diapers. So not sure if I would buy any - but still, it's crazy what people do these days.

The only time I could see using that is if the baby was sick or something. Not every day use.

Science is amazing! Everyday use could be a tab obsessive though. If your little ones sick, they could send you home with a few of these with the rest of your care plan.

If you are breast feeding, your baby will get enough water. If you formula feed and make the formula with the correct proportions, your baby will get enough water.

I agree the only need for these is of your baby is sick.

If your baby has decreased kidney function or some other type of illness I can see where something like this would be a valuable tool. To use a for a "normal" baby seems kinda pointless though

Even when your baby's sick, you'll know! You can buy a pack of diapers and pour a table spoon or two of water in one and see how it feels. 
Anyways, there are other signs of dehydration that you should check for, like your babies lips, mouth, eyes and skin.

I think I would only use it on my granddaughter if she was sick so yes I will look into getting at least a pack of every size for her
