I am ready to have a baby again and need some advice

I am ready to conceive again. My boyfriend wants a baby too. He's constantly making remarks and rubs my belly and talks about it all the time, but at the same time he says let's wait... What would you do? This would be his first child... Do you think he's afraid or nervous?
