Baby's head engaged?

How do you know if baby's head is "engaged". What does that even mean?

It means the baby’s head in engaged into the pelvis. Usually they will tell you when you get checked at the doctor. My baby has been engaged for the past 3 weeks, and I’m not dilated at all! It’s a good sign though!

Dropped into the pelvis. Usually you’d have some released pressure off your lungs and you should be able to breathe easier. Baby may be showing a lower position. You may have some discomfort or pressure in the pelvis. Possibly urinating more often. 
Baby can engage any time up until labour starts.
