Is it normal to get a temp of 101 after shots?

Got his flu shot today as well. Has had a temp since 8. Gave him Tylenol and it won’t go down

My doctor advised if my son runs a fever to remove a layer of clothing first. Wait 30 mins and if that doesn’t bring it down, to then take a bath and check again in an hour. Temperature is also naturally the lowest during the morning and higher at night. Of course 102 is considered enough for urgent care, and that’s your call if you want to go. But I’d take some other steps first.

My son always gets a fever after his shots and this time since he got the flu shot he got his first ever cold. His pediatrician won't see him unless his temp is above 103
