Issues with kissing

The last time I kissed somebody, or even made out with somebody was in 7th grade. I’m 16 and in the second quarter (half) of 10th grade. I haven’t been able to kiss anyone since 7th grade. I get really nervous but now I’m getting serious with someone and I can’t even kiss him and I feel terrible. My friend said it could be because the last person I kissed I had a bad relationship with, after we’d kiss and stuff he’d punch me and leave bruises and stuff so she thinks that’s why. I just want to get over this 🤦🏼‍♀ I don’t have an issue with anything else but kissing and i feel like i just need to get over this.
