TDAP Vaccine?

I’m 33 weeks along and someone just told me I was supposed to get a TDAP vaccine to help protect from whooping couch and various other things. Is that right?

yeah. it protects the baby too from getting it.  pertussis can kill babies.

Yes I had to get one with my 3rd pregnancy and I also made everyone that was going to be around her on a regular basis get it too.

I’m getting a TDAP booster tomorrow. Apparently I still need it even though I had one two months before I got pregnant. I’m a FTM and had no idea!

I had a baby in March 2017 so 11 months ago and I never got one during pregnancy. They didn't even offer one to me. Once I pushed out my baby and was getting ready to leave the hospital is when they recommended I get one.

Well, I ended up already having the TDAP. I forgot I stepped on a rusty staple back in May 2017 and they gave me the TDAP then. 👍

My OB referred me to my primary care for more info and to schedule the appointment. You’d think they’d take care of it at the OB. Odd.
