CM drying up at times during fertile window?

Has anyone ever had periods during the day during their fertile window where CM dries up and then reappears? What causes this?

It’s also so frustrating bc OPK says high and I know my peak is coming. It was dry this morning - wet all day and now dry again... I don’t get it???

Exactly! Today all day was heavy CM stretchy and just about eggwhite. Now it’s dry again... I don’t get it. Wanted to BD today and tomorrow and hoping it thickens up again. I don’t understand.

I wish I knew, pretty sure I was having some EWCM yesterday and now back to watery :/

I don't know what causes it but I did. For those times that it did and we were bd-ing we used preseed.
