Any other working moms out there?

Question

Anyone else work outside the home? I started back three weeks ago and would love some other moms to chat with who understand what I'm going through. I'm surprised there isn't already a working moms group on here, or did I somehow miss it?

Anyway, I'm a first time mom to an almost four month old little girl. I work in NYC and commute in from NJ. I'm also breastfeeding my daughter so I have three breaks a day to pump which actually is much more enjoyable than I expected. It's nice to have three times a day when I get to just relax and be a mommy and focus on my baby girl.

Anyone else planning to go back to the office or already back?

I go back to work on July 1st (my lo is currently 5 weeks). I don't want to!! I want to stay home and snuggle my baby. I'm nervous being away from her for so long. We have a great daycare provider so that helps.

I go back to work in 4 weeks when my baby girl is 12 weeks old. She is my 3rd child so you'd think I'd be prepared but I'm dreading it! Once back to work I will pump 3x a day & BF in the evenings. I know she'll do just fine at the sitter it will just be tough to leave her!

I go back in 3.5 weeks full time and will also be pumping when I'm at work! I'm nervous but also excited to get back to my job I enjoy.

I go back in about a month and I'm dreading it 😔 I don't want to leave my baby girl.

I worked untill the day i had my baby girl at 39+5, and it's tight financialy so i have to go back in 2 weeks and she'll be 7 weeks 😢 still so little!! 
I'm not sure how it's going to affect me emotionly but im hoping Ill be able to forgive myself at some point! Ill be pumping in the lactation room as well and i havent done my research on how frequent I need to be doing that! Good luck to all of us

Yep I also went back 3 weeks ago, my son is 11 weeks old. It's so hard leaving them, and not getting sleep!

Haven't delivered yet, but I'll be going back to work. Will be pumping, if all goes well, and will be doing so at my desk so I can work through it. I'm salaried, so if I take the time and sit somewhere else, I'm just delaying when I can go home.

I'm going back to work but not until August because I'm a teacher 😊 I would love some other working moms to talk to! I'm pretty nervous about going back because the schedule means I have to be very strict about my pumping times... Lactation consultant recommended feeding and pumping before leaving home, then one last pump (short one) at school before the day starts, then full pump at lunch time 4 hours later, then again right after school 3 hours later. Jess, how do you make sure you stick to your 3 breaks? Are they scheduled into your calendar?

Hell yeah. I'm 36 weeks and I work full time at one job and part time at the other 😝😝 I love it
