Do you believe violence should be shown on T.V?

No, I’m not talking about movies or video games. What I am talking about is news reports showing violent videos.

My husband and I are watching the news, and they basically played a whole video of a pregnant woman being beaten to the ground.

I personally believe that showing such things desensitizes people to violence which will in turn make violence a more normalized thing to see and do. I’m not saying that this is the cause of all violence, I am also aware that violence will still persist. What I am thinking is that it doesn’t help the cause.

I also think it’s not fair to the victims.

What do you all think? Should news be reported without footage? Or should we be able to see footage even if it’s violent.
