I started taking birth control (started at a low dose & gradually have increased dosages) to help with my hormonal acne but I am awful at remembering to take medication. So I will miss like 2 or 3 days worth of pills. I’m wanting to get an IUD so I won’t have to worry about remembering to take the pill but does anyone know if it would do the same thing as the pill as far as helping out my hormonal acne? I read that it just releases the hormones down there but I’m not sure what exactly that means? If anyone has any ideas, that’d be helpful! I don’t want to make an appointment to see my gyno only to be told I have to stick with the pill if that’s my only option. I mean, I also take it so I don’t get pregnant but its main use is for my acne.
