STD's
Ok kids, you CAN actually get an STD/STI without having sex. Since STD/I's are transmitted through saliva, seminal/vaginal fluids, blood, and some, skin to skin contact, a sexual act is not required.
Some examples of this are the most obvious; being born to someone who is infected. An infected person spitting in your eyes/mouth. Using a dirty needle for drugs or even a tattoo. Sharing food/drink with someone who is having an outbreak.
So yes, they're called SEXUALLY transmitted diseases/infections because that's the MOST COMMON way to transmit them, but it is not the ONLY way.
