Is my baby too far behind?!

My son is going to be six months in a few days and he cant sit up unsupported also he’s not on his hands and knees😔
Should I be considered?
I just feel like a bad mom

Not a bad mom. all babies are different. my daughter can't get on her knees and hands yet, but she just loves to be held so the tiny time is limited because I'm not going to just let her scream, plus she can roll on her back so it's pointless if she's not into it. Some babies are done being set down for hours, my baby isn't and that's okay 👌

absolutely not. my daughter is 6 months and can sit up too but also will not get on her hands and knees. i don't see her crawling any time soon and that's okay! as long as we encourage it, the rest is up to them

I just got back from the pediatrician today and he said it's fine if they can just tripod sit ( use hands in front to help) and if they can't keep their balance. He also said most 6 month olds can't crawl and many aren't on hands and knees. He was happy my girl was rolling everywhere

At my 6 month appointment my ped said it is 100% normal for babies NOT to be sitting up perfectly unsupported yet.

My son is 6 months.. he isn’t in hands and knees but he does ‘Superman’ and wants to crawl, he also he sits unsupported for a couple seconds.

My baby just started sitting up and he uses his hands (at least one) on his knees to support himself. He’s nowhere near being up on his hands and knees! He’s 6 months and 1 week now.

ohmygosh no. MOST babies can't do what you just described at that age.

My almost 6 month old can't sit up unassisted, and isn't even close to crawling. I'm not worried. I am 100% positive he will eventually be walking and talking like a normal kid. Honestly, I'm not ready for him to crawl yet, so I'm okay with it. Milestones are guidelines, and there will always be babies that fall out of those guidelines. Let your LO go at his own pace.
