Low laying placenta?

My doctor scheduled me an appointment for 3 weeks from now, to see if my placenta is still low. It's right above the cervix. This is my first pregnancy. Has anyone had experience with this? I have had really bad cramping. I was also told I have a "hooked" pelvis.

With my first pregnancy, a low lying placenta was identified at my 20wk scan. We monitored it and it eventually moved at 37wks. My boy was born at 41wks anyway!

I'm also tilted and my cervix is smaller. Doc said if baby is over 5lbs he will recommend a scheduled c section. Between the hooked pelvis, small cervix tilted and low laying placenta I'm assuming I'll have to have a c section.

Mine too...I'm on pelvic rest..scheduled for next ultrasound to see if it moves up...if not then... Bye bye bikini...lol

I have this as well..we are checking mine again at my next appointment.  If it moves, great. If not, c section.
