When will you start buying things?

Not buying any big things till after the shower though.

Started buying small things around 16 weeks. Ordered the crib and dresser after the 20 week anatomy scan. Got the car seat and stroller around 24 weeks. I'm buying stuff to decorate the nursery, but everything else I'll wait until after my shower.

I started a few months before I even had my mirena out!! Got my cot, basinette, car seat, pram and all the other big items June/July last year lol.

We bought a few gender neutral things here and there at around 16 weeks but didn't buy anything else until our anatomy scan at 21 weeks

I didn't really buy anything until 20 weeks, after our anatomy scan. Currently we have a Boon highchair, rug for the nursery, floor lamp, nightstand and crib bedding. The bedding was a gift from my MIL, and my mom and dad just bought a mamaroo seat. A few sleepers and things on sale, but not buying a lot of clothing yet. I'm 28 weeks tomorrow. 👍🏻

I want to wait til after my shower I'll be 32 weeks then. I have furniture though and crib. Is it too much to have a crib a chest and a changing table/dresser and nursing chair in his room? My mom said it was a safety concern. I thought that was a normal amount of furniture?

We started buying things months ago. We started buying a pack of diapers and wipes once every 2 weeks, and we bought gender neutral clothes/bedding and stuff. I don't believe in waiting.
