Locks of Love organization requests payments for donated hair pieces

I saw this viral post on Facebook this morning. I don’t tend to believe most viral claims, but I wanted to see if it had any truth to it.

Turns out, it had a little truth to it. Locks of Love “requests” money from families who are in a certain tax bracket. By the term “requests”, I’m assuming this means the payment is somewhat optional, but I’m also assuming most people would feel guilted into paying regardless if they had they had the cash on hand or not.

Are you in agreement with Locks of Love’s payment requests or should the hair pieces be free for everyone regardless of income?
