Does anyone else's baby constantly throw things?

Question

Since Jaime was about 9 months old, he's been constantly throwing his toys. It's not something he does during a tantrum or to be mean, but he's just having fun. The problem is that he's really started throwing things AT me here recently. Again, he's not trying to be mean, just playing. And telling him "No" is NOT working. I'm starting to get very frustrated every time I am hit in the head with a flying book or something equally as hard/heavy. Has anyone else dealt with throwing? And how did you get baby to finally stop?

My son does sometimes. I try to teach him not to as much as possible because I don't want him breaking anything. Then is dad comes home and they rough house and play basketball in the house so I feel like the no throwing rule goes out the window. 😝

M son doesn't know his own strength. So I get whacked a lot. But I do tell him no and he understands no because he usually cries when I say no. But sometimes I have to say it several times. And if he's not listening and he keeps touching or opening something that I tell him not to I don't spank him. I actually tap his hands. Every time he tries to touch I stand there and tap his hand away and he stops. Usually cries (it's more of a whine) but it works and he's starting to get it at a young age. It's just exhausting trying to be consistent tho lol

Yes my daughter throws things I tell her no then she laughs and does it again. It’s totally normal for them to do that at this age. And they don’t understand no yet but I don’t see the harm in trying to teach them no and continuing. If she starts doing something I don’t like I try to remove her from the situation and start doing something else.
