Tanning beds and tattoos?

Don't need the skin cancer talk. Do any of you ladies use tanning beds and have tattoos? Does it effect them at all? I got a good size one on my shoulder a few months ago. Haven't been in the sun or anything since it's winter but I want to start tanning again. It helps me with acne and relaxes me.

It can cause it to fade faster and dull any colors -same as the sun. You’ll probably need a touch up sooner if you regularly tan in a bed. If you can put some sort of sun protection on it that may help but idk if sunscreen works with tanning beds? All i know is my artist told me to avoid them if i wanted my tattoos to stay the way they are 😂

My tattoo artist said to avoid them unless I wanted to pay for touch ups on my tattoo along with skin treatments for cancer 🤷🏻‍♀️

Just make sure to lather up your tattoo with sunscreen! Any I’ve rays do damage to tattoos over time. To preserve them longer, make sure to ALWAYS wear sunscreen
