My ex and I are really close friends. I’ve known him for 16 years. I haven’t dated him for 11 years. If I wanted to be with him I would be. 
 
It would depend on the relationship between the ex’s and the relationship with you and this new guy. If you aren’t exclusively seeing one another than I don’t see the reason to get upset. 
Aside from that, you can’t control someone, regardless of your relationship status. If you don’t trust someone, you shouldn’t be with him.

If you’re not in a serious committed/exclusive relationship you don’t really get to be mad. If you guys were in a relationship I think it depends on the situation. Personally, my SO and his ex are friends and I’m ok with that so going for lunch together occurs once a year or so. But if I wasn’t comfortable I’d expect my SO to respect that. But if you’re not together then he doesn’t have to make sure you’re ok with him seeing anyone. In my opinion if you’re not exclusive then he could even go on a date with someone else.

To me SO= a relationship. So if you consider them your significant other, and they aren’t okay with it then I think you should respect their feelings.
If they aren’t officially your significant other, then their opinion shouldn’t matter.

Not if you’re not seriously dating yet. I would think the other person is being responsible by wanting closure in their previous relationships before they move on to their next.
