I'll Be Having a C-Section
Just had my 30-week appointment and It looks like I'll be having a c-section based on a few factors. I'm 44 years old 😩, FTMand the doc said 60-70% of women over the age of 40 have a c-section -- unplanned or not. I don't know if I heard him correctly but I believe that's what he said.
Secondly, every woman in my family has had c-sections because of our very narrow hips and historically large babies. My sister was set on a vaginal birth, only to require an emergency c-section when her son became stuck in the birth canal.
To be honest, art of me is relieved because because of my age and family history, I have been soooooo nervous about complications in a vaginal birth. I know this can be a hot topic and I'm not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers... Just trying to have the safest delivery possible. 😃
