When do you tell family?? Thoughts, pls.

Hi,

This app says I'm 7w2d - I have my first appt on June 15th (little over a week from now).
My boyfriend thinks we should tell my family the exciting news. I worry it's still too soon.

What are your guys' thoughts? When did everyone else tell family?

Please wait till after your first appointment or ultrasound! I told my family immediately and had a scare and it worried my family like crazy. Just make sure everything is good with your pregnancy before announcing the good news! But congrats :)

We told our immediate family after my first appointment and ultrasound, at almost 10 weeks.

I told my mum (well, my partner told my mum) as soon as we found out
My mum is one of our best friends
We told her, not because we are sure everything will be great and nothing will go wrong, but because good parents wouldn't want you to go through anything bad alone.

We told our parents the day and 2 days after we found out. We just didn't tell everyone else like his sister, grandparents, and friends til 11 weeks. I was going for 12 but he couldn't wait any longer.

With both pregnancies, my husband and I told our parents and siblings shortly after I found out I was pregnant. I also told my 2 female cousins because I am very close to them. The rest of the family found out when I was into my 2nd trimester. With my first pregnancy I waited till I was 20 weeks to make it facebook official...and with my second I was 13 weeks.
