can I get pregnant after a vasectomy?

I want to have a baby!!! I have two girls but always wanted a boy. I got married to my husband after 7 years of dating on and off. we have a 6 year old. we married 2 years ago. 6 mos. in, he gets a vasectomy. he gives me a 24 hour notice before and now he is clipped. is it possible to get pregnant after a vasectomy??? He knew I wanted another baby. I am 34 and he is 42. he says he is too old to start over. I love him and I'm so disappointed at the same time. I feel like he took my choice away!
