Negative urine test but pregnant?!

Hey ladies, has anyone ever tested negative home pregnancy test but turned out you were pregnant? so I’m six days late I tested yesterday and got negative. I’m usually regular, my gf told me that I should get blood work done because sometimes you don’t show up pregnant on home urine tests for months is this true and any ladies ever tested negative at home but you were pregnant don’t wanna get my hopes up to high ... thanks

Months? No. But you usually have to wait 4 to 6 weeks after your last period to be sure. I took one with my son and it was neg at 4 weeks. I got a pos at 7 weeks.

It’s very rare.. that only happens in like 2% of women. But yea go for bloods & that will give you a for sure answer.
