Loud noises harm baby?

Question

I work at Home Depot, and normally there’s occasionally loud noises everyday whether it’s the lumber saw, someone dropping something heavy, etc. today I had to the job of walking around and dealing with popping balloons (game we played today with customers/associates). I was around probably 50+ balloons popping and since that’s loud, I wanted to know if baby is harmed? Doctor said baby is well protected but not to do it anymore.

No.. loud noises affect you. Which affect your hormone and stress levels which in turn affect baby ....minimally. The loud noises do not directly affect baby, I.e. It's hearing.

I think it’s fine. The balloon thing was a special event. And it sounds like the noises are intermittent and random— not constant.

it depends on how loud. from what you are describing you should be fine.  It's noises like standing nj in front of a speaker at a concert for hours that can cause peoblems, not intermittent medium level noises  (compared to extreme loud).  my husband works with power tools and other loud things and pur first never had an issue.  I even went to an indoor concert on my due date and had to walk past the stage at one point and she was fine.  I would say a good gauge is if it hurts your ears don't be exposed to it for prolonged periods.  the amniotic fluid etc. helps dull the noises down for baby so what they hear is less that what you hear.

i was told to the baby, its like what it woukd sound like to you if you were in the pool under the water. baby is very well protected

I was wondering the same thing with working at Lowes. I even got to the point where I stopped yelling like around the house to someone in another room or when I get mad. I don't know about the baby but my Husband likes it. 😂

Okay, I just always feel so bad working here because every day there are loud noises. Not constant but pretty consistent. I am just trying to see if baby will be okay

when I asked my Dr about loud noises they told me things like working in loud factories or going to the races (noises like that) could very much give your baby hearing problems

We would go to the shooting range when I was pregnant (I didn't think anything of it) but my husband asked the doctor if it could harm the baby at all and they said there could be a small chance but very unlikely so I stopped going. Her hearing is fine :)
