Upper left chest pain?

Question

Anyone deal with it? It comes and goes very specifically on my left side. Sharp when I breathe deep or anything. My doctor wants me to see how it is over time... Just curious if it's happened to anyone else? It's not anxiety/panic attack I get those and they feel different than this :P

This happens to me and every time I go to the ER they send me back home saying I’m fine. I understand your pain. It gets sooooo bad that I sometimes hold my breath until it goes by. This is no joke! Definitely get an EKG

Usually if it was your heart you would have other symptoms like you may feel it directly by your shoulder blade. Your left arm would probably hurt or go numb. Your jaw would hurt. You may have cold and clammy skin. 
He could have at least ordered an EKG to make sure but he doesnt sound very concerned. It could be costochondritis.  Hopefully it’s nothing serious and resolves soon.
