Wanted to take a sec to say: Everyone on this thread is so much more than the bad nights, weeks, years, etc spent with our abusers. And the fact that we went through this shit? We can kick life's ass when it comes to down to it because we're all survivors. We are all going to be okay one day. Or at least more okay than we are now. Biological father. He is currently in prison and will be there until 2054. I told on him when I was 15. Abused by him for 6 years prior to telling.

Boyfriend at the time, then again after I broke up with him. He got away with it, the court system was supposed to help me, instead when I told them I was scared about testifying, they said "why? You back together and all lovey dovey?" No! We weren't! I was scared he was going to kill me! He was trained to kill, in the Marines, the judge said that I knew that going into the relationship why are you scared now?! Um, BECAUSE HE RAPED ME, assaulted me AND WAS ARRESTED!! Was arrested but never served time. This was about 4 years ago, and I'm coping. Because of it, and my depression, I got into trouble at work, to this day, work keeps telling me "they saved me from being canned!"

From ages 6-11 my mom would let any of her partners "have a go" at me.😭

I was a Senior and agreed to date one of my best friends from years before. We had always hung out alone, so I didn't feel in danger, but he locked me in his room and forced me to give him head. I was a tough kid, but I was scared to fight him do I just did what he said while he called me horrible names. Later he asked me to go to the mall with him so we could talk. He said he wanted to apologize for "being so mean while we were role playing." I was naive and in shock so i got in. Instead of going to the mall he locked the car doors and drove around 100mph and threatened my life. He kept saying we'd die together. Then he stopped in front of my house and said, "Just kidding. Why would I want to die with a slut?" He took off again (didn't let me out) and said this time he'd crash to kill himself because he's evil and me because I'm a liar. I was numb. I switched his radio like I wasn't terrified and started singing. I just laid back and closed my eyes. When we got back to my place he stopped and let me out like we had gone on a nice date. And I don't hate him or feel negatively about me. He was obviously very sick and his family failed to see his severe mental illness. #mentalhealthawareness

😭 My Father. For 11 years. He's now in prison.

My brother sexually abused me until I was about 10. But I never told anyone. I was afraid to tell anyone. I'm still scared to admit it. But he's in prison for commiting the same crime. I just don't want people to think its my fault. I hope no judgement is passed on me for this horrible act he commited.
