anyone els been diagnosed with this?

I went in to the er today because I been having pain on my left side for a day and half by the way Im 8 weeks pregnant. they told me I have a cyst (corpus luteum) benhind my utters. has anyone gone through this or have one?

I have one on my right ovary that is almost 2 inches. The doctors said it's common, but due to the size they'll probably want to keep an eye on it throughout the pregnancy and make sure it doesn't cause any issues. They also said if it suddenly caused extreme pain that it might have burst but other than that they weren't very helpful. A lot of people on here have had them though and all say the same as the doctor told me.

I had one with all my pregnancies, it's where the egg released from & helps sustain the pregnancy until about week 16 when the placenta is fully functional & takes over... it'll dissipate on its own & it is in no way harmful.

I had cysts that didn't disappear until after the birth. there was two in bad spots and I had to get u/s every two weeks last three months to make sure the baby was being nourished instead of the cyst. it was strange but I was in Italy and did not want any complications. My girl was healthy and the cyst shrunk back to its miniscule size 6 weeks after birth. good luck and don't try not to worry too much.

I have one on my left side as well! Caused me loads of pain the other day but all is well and baby is where it needs to be 💕

I went to my OB for my first appointment last week to confirm my pregnancy. They did an ultrasound, and although I wasn’t far enough along yet for my gestational sack or the baby to show, she did see the corpus letium (may have spelt that wrong, sorry). She basically said that it’s a good sign of the pregnancy because that’s what feeds your baby until the placenta is formed. Nothing to worry about☺️
