I was super nervous too.  With my first bf (who I lost my virginity to) I never did anything first.  But honestly I felt super anxious and nervous with him because he expected sex from me and was an asshole in general.
With my current bf I was still nervous at first, but even though we started having sex very early (two weeks after meeting) he made me feel like I wasn't just a sex toy and that I was actually desirable.  So the nervousness faded quickly and I did it when I was completely comfortable.

Try your best not to be shy or scared. I know the feeling, at the beginning of my relationship with my husband I was afraid to do it.
