I found out I have PCOS.... NEED ADVICE!

So I found out I have PCOS and to top it off I have a four inch ovarian cyst. Which hurts very much.... I need some advice. I have no clue besides what I have read. I know it can cause some problem with fertility. As for my cyst my doctor said that he wants to wait six week to see if it will shrink. I am afraid to ask but what happens if it does not shrink does it have to be surgically removed?
