Should I keep pregnancy test on hand?

So I am 16 and my boyfriend is 18. We aren't trying and I am on birth control and we pretty much always use condoms. But one broke Thursday night and it's got me thinking. Should I just have some tests just in case? Also how should I explain to my boyfriend it would make me feel better if I am late that I can test without having to go out to buy one.

I don't think it would hurt to have 1 or 2 just in case to ease your mind. If you are using your birth control correctly along with condoms, then you should be fin, even when one breaks. But I also agree with the above poster that having sex means the possibility of pregnancy, even if you are using birth control, so you have to keep that consequence in the back of your mind.

You shouldn't need to keep them on hand if you have BC and condoms it's very rare that you'll get pregnant
