Period lasting two weeks?

I am not pregnant! I haven't had sex in  7 months. Lately my period has been lasting about two weeks, then it disappears and comes back again. Anyone know why?

I had this problem. It got to a point when I was ALWAYS on my period. Literally months on end of daily bleeding. I didn't see a gyno because I wasn't sexually active.  It eventually went away and I became regular after I lost 50 pounds. Turns out, I believe, I was at my heaviest weight and I my hormones were probably out of whack. So, get healthy, and, as always, talk to your doctor about it.
