First morning urine & opk?!

Okay so my opk specifically says to use first morning urine, but a lot of forums I’m reading is saying don’t use first morning urging because the LH surge is high in the morning regardless?? This is becoming very confusing... anyone else going through this and want to shed some light?

If you’re using the Clearblue Digital Advanced they are supposed to be used with FMU. The reason this is important is the first few times you use it it is establishing a baseline unique to you. Since LH doesn’t rise overnight FMU has your lowest concentration of LH and the Clearblue “learns” it. This is what it compares your later readings to to see if you surged. As long as you’ve used it correctly the first few days you should be fine to use it in the evening because it already “knows” your baseline. 
Regular strip/stick tests can be used anytime of day as long as you have at least a two hour hold without excessive liquids.
