Had my 38 week appointment Wednesday the 7th. Got checked and was only 1.5 cm dilated and 10%effaced. I walked/ran 2 miles before the appointment hoping to be farther along...

Went home mowed the backyard-which is over a mile back and forth with a push lawnmower then had sexytime with the hubs.

Nothing. Until....230am I woke up with pretty strong contractions. My mom lives 40 min away -I waited until 430 to call her when my contractions were 3 min apart. She got here around 6 am to watch my 2.5 year old daughter while my husband and I headed to the hospital.

Got checked out was 90% effaced and 4 cm. Was admitted. My first labor was 25 hours-16 without an epidural I was miserable. This time I said right away I would take the epidural. I was admitted into a room by 730 am. And with bad contractions I throw up, so that was happening 😢 (happened the first labor also) I got the epidural by 830 am. They broke my water. 930 am I was 6 cm and by 1130 I was ready to push. I pushed about 12-15 times -and our little Emmett Delano Dixon arrived at 11:58am. 8 lbs 15 oz 21 in. Long. I pushed for 1.5 hours for my first so I was not looking forward to that part but I was Very Happy with how this one went!
