Difficult birth but so in love!

Dajuanna • Mommy of a 5 year old girl 👧🏾and a 4 year old boy 👶🏽 and lost my 3 month old due to SIDS

I had developed gestational diabetes late in my pregnancy and was told to watch how I eat and get the supplies needed to test blood sugar. Was not able to get supplies as Medicare would not cover them. Was told that I would be induced that day as blood sugar was elevated every time I went to the doctors. I was induced on 2/15/2018 at around 5p.

They put me on pitocin and put a small ballon in my vagina to open up cervix up to 4 centimeters. After 12 hours I made it to 4-5 centimeters dilated I was put on an epidural cause the pain was really bad.

I woke up at about 4:30a and was put on pitocin again as they turned it off to let me sleep. After 2 hours they checked me and tired to break my water and that did not work but I made it 6 centimeters.

My water broke on it’s own after a few hours but I was still at 6 centimeters and the pain was getting worse. Found out that the epidural had fallen out and was put back in. I also found out that I had preeclampsia on top of that.

By this time the pain was so bad at around 3p that I just wanted a c section which they told me no they wanted me to deliver natural. Now I’ve been in labor for hours and I was still at 6 centimeters was not progressing at all but my baby girl was trying to get out.

After begging the doctor finally came in checked me and told me I was getting a c section at around 10:45 I finally in the prepared me with local anesthetic and was able to get baby girl out. She’s the cutest little baby ever I’m so in love.
