Poker advice?

My brothers and I (we're all in our 20s) are hosting a little 5 card Texas hold'em home game tomorrow. They've been playing for years, but I just learned last week. As it goes when you have all male siblings, I'll be the only woman at our 8-person table. I'm pretty good - over the last week I've consistently beat my older brother, who usually takes the pot. I normally play a very conservative game so when I bluff my group tends to buy it...as I've conditioned them all to think women play it safe. But I think to win it all I'll need to get braver.  Anyone (especially other ladies) have poker advice? Their own game strategy? I want to kick butt. Much appreciated :)

I am a very active poker player. I say play ace 10 or better unless it's a high pocket pair. Play tight. Bluff a little if you have a running flush possibility. Let me know how it goes.

Meh. I was the first one out of what turned out to be a 5-person table, after a few hours. Had 3 aces (2 on the table). Someone matched me. The other person had a flush. Everyone else had folded. Anyway, I was already on my way out (probably couldn't have matched bets on another good hand if I wanted to), so I went all in. And lost.

I wouldn't have minded losing if the worst player there, who had come in late and was therefore still ahead, and who had folded on that hand, hadn't snidely said, "that was and great game for a novice." He said novice but from the way he treated me that game, I knew he meant "that was a good game for a woman." And after that I wanted to kick him in the balls, so I shook hands like a lady and left.

I'm happy with how I went out. I wish I'd played a tighter hand earlier in the game. I also learned a few things about the game. But I don't think I'll ever play with that group again. My brothers' friends are douchebags, which I should have expected since my brothers can be douchebags. At least if I play with jerky strangers, I won't have to see them again.

I know guys tend to take more risks and are precondition overconfident in their hands,  other than that depends on the ppl you're paying with. If you have a hand when first dealt cards, I usually always call
