My boyfriend & I have been together for 3 years.

We’ve been talking about marriage much more seriously..and although it’s something I’ve always wanted, now that I know it’s so close to happening I am over analyzing everything!

My biggest issue is how different we are personality wise.

He doesn’t care what anyone thinks and is very secure in himself. He jokes 24/7..and he can be harsh and it just gets down right annoying after a while. He’s very to himself and doesn’t go out of his way to be nice to others.

I, on the other hand, like to have more serious conversations and care what others think (although I know I shouldn’t) so I want others to recognize that I’m nice.

My biggest concern is that 5 years down the road the joking will become too much for me to deal with. I’ve confronted him about it and he said he will work on saying more kind things to me or just having a regular convo in between all the joking. But he did let me know that he is who he is and joking is a big part of that.

We are on the same page when it comes to goals, finances, kids, morals and values though.

Did anyone ever have any doubts about a partners personality quirks or anything??
