He has 6-8+ wet diapers, gets tears when he cries, poops good and it’s yellow, runny and seedy. He doesn’t look malnourished. He’s 5 weeks old and in newborn clothes still (barely though, as he’s getting too long for sleepers) he was 7lbs 2oz when born, and fit in preemie clothes, so he was not a big baby. He’s not chubby either.

I worry because I use a nipple shield and I’m scared he’s not getting enough or it’s messing up my supply. I know milk comes out, it’ll fill the whole shield, I hear him swallow, I feel my let downs, I leak etc. he hasn’t been weighed since 1 week because he surpassed his birth weight, 7lbs 6oz.

Is there really any need to worry? We have started latching again without the shield but we’re still working on the latch, so the shield is still used.
