This is a weird topic butttt... I think there’s a bobcat outside my house. I live in a rural area and it was about midnight when I first heard it. That hideous screech that those things make. I’ve heard it before, but usually it’s quite a distance away, but this time it sounded like it was right outside my door. I have a cat that goes in and out when she pleases, and out of fear for her life I opened the door and inspected it. Sure enough my cat comes bolting towards me with her tail all puffed. Idk if they were fighting or fucking (my cat is fixed if that matters). I don’t see the thing but I hear it still screeching even as I’m standing there! It had to be about 50-60 feet away from where I was. I screamed at it to make it run away and I think that it worked.

Unfortunately my cat still wouldn’t come in and shes Still out there. I’m worried as heck.

I didn’t get a good look at it as it was very dark but I feel like that scream is indistinguishable. That sound is fucking terrifying, and I live alone so my skin is crawllliinnnggggg.

Idk what to do, if I should call someone to trap it or if it’ll go away on it’s own. But I’m v scared.

EDIT: I went on YouTube to figure out if what I heard was a bobcat, but the noise is actually more similar to a fox. My feelings and concerns still apply.
