light flow on the pill... help!

I've been on the pill for 2 years and usually have a heavy period for 5 day. My last period came on time however was very light lasted the usual 5 days and it barely filled a tampon? I have taken several tests and all negative. Is it normal to randomly get a light period even though you've been on the pill for years?
